The Verde Bussola (Green Compass) – VERDEinMED Handbook
Within the VERDEinMED project (co-funded by the EU Interreg Euro-MED Programme), a holistic methodological framework, entitled “Verde Bussola” (Green Compass), has been developed to facilitate the transition towards a circular economy model in the textile and clothing (T&C) sector.
The Verde Bussola (Green Compass) consists of three pillars:
- the establishment of national and regional Hubs, along with related activities aimed at bridging the gap between sector realities and applied policies,
- technical support services to enhance the uptake and implementation of sustainable and circular practices across the T&C value chain,
- and the development of the VERDEinMED Knowledge Platform to support knowledge sharing, stakeholder collaboration, and the coordination of transition-related activities.
Going beyond the scope and duration of a single project, Verde Bussola establishes a methodological framework that can continue to deliver results beyond the project’s lifetime, supporting the long-term transition towards a sustainable and circular T&C sector through its transferability and scalability.
